Frequently asked questions.

Does therapy really help?

I absolutely think so! There’s lots of reasons therapy might be helpful to you right now. One of the most powerful forces for change is having a compassionate person hear your story. If you’re working on making some changes, coping with grief and loss or life transition, I can be with you through that. We can work together to identify patterns that are no longer working for you while you learn new ways of being that are more effective.

How long will it take?

I wish I could tell you! There’s no specific timeline, and every person progresses differently. The most important factor is that you are willing to try, reflect, and be an active partner in the process.

How do I get started?

You’re on the right track! Use the “Contact Me” button to send me an email letting me know you’re interested in counseling. We’ll have a brief conversation to find out if my skill set and style are a good fit for you. If so, we’ll schedule an intake where I’ll give you some forms, go over the process, sign some paperwork, and ask you a lot of questions to understand your story better. After that, we’ll be set to start meeting regularly.
